Propaganda collection from World War 2

This is a collection of material housed at Pacific University website showing propaganda matter produced mainly in the U.S. during World War 2.

There’s a whole section on Anti-Japanese War posters.

What’s really striking about these, is how similar they are to virtually all other propaganda ever done – certainly akin to those produced by both the U.K and Nazi Germany during the same time-frame. Today it looks weirdly over the top, but it’s also worth remembering that it still happens today but is a lot more subtle – and you don’t need to be a conspiracy theorist to believe that.

Also, before people complain, it is an academic collection, and that that portion of the website is sponsored by Matsushita Corp.
