Happy New Year 2012
For a bit of a change this year, I took my motorbike down to Enoshima Beach to watch the first sunrise of 2012 as it rose above Chiba and the Pacific Ocean. The were a few thousand people all around Enoshima on what was a crisp, but relatively clear New Year’s morning, with just a little low cloud. It was a great experience, and incredibly relaxing – lots of younger people, some who had brought BBQs, a few Police – mostly watching the sunrise too – and quite a few old people, offering the traditional prayer for the New Year as the the sun came up.
Here’s to a good and healthy 2012!
